If you are looking for the amenities and excitement of a resort hotel but with extra space and the money-saving option of eating in, a condo villa might just be the ticket. Located on the northern edge of Myrtle Beach in the prestigious 145 acre resort of Kingston Plantation, one of the largest resorts in Myrtle Beach, Windermere by the Sea units are referred to as “special villas” because of their proximity to the beach as well as their own unique features. Located right by the oceanfront Embassy Suites Hotel and the Brighton and Margate towers, Windermere is steps away from all the oceanside fun the resort has to offer with swimming pools, live entertainment, hot tubs, restaurants and bars, but best of all is the wide ½ mile long beach. So whether relaxing by the pool(s) with a cool one in your hand, frolicking in the waves or playing a lively game of beach volleyball you’re sure to find it all at Kingston. And if you don’t feel like cooking dinner you can always avoid the traffic and eat at the Omaha Steakhouse in the hotel or order a pizza from the on-site pizza shop. Arcadian Shores golf course (one of over 100 in the Myrtle Beach area) is across the street from the gated entrance to the resort, making a nice quiet buffer from the hustle and bustle of Highway 17, the main route between North and South Myrtle Beach. Barefoot Landing, House of Blues, Alligator Adventure, Carolina Opry, Alabama Theater, Broadway at the Beach, Pirates Voyage dinner theater, the Palace Theater, Hard Rock Café, Myrtle Waves water park, Nascar Speedpark and more are all a stone’s throw from the resort. Apache Pier, the longest fishing pier on the East Coast, is adjacent to the resort and is available for fishing, strolling or listening to live entertainment under the covered center stage. And for you shoppers Tanger Outlets is only a mile away. Of course, don’t miss a trip to the new boardwalk in central Myrtle Beach, or try soaring 200 feet above sea level on the new SkyWheel in glass enclosed, temperature controlled gondolas from which you can see 25 miles up the coast.
This Place Was Great!
My family and I stayed here for the week of 6/1/13 - 6/8/13. It was spacious, comfortable, very affordable and most of all, only a two-minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.
